Parkinson’s UK is launching its latest campaign…’We Can’t Wait’…
We need your help to make sure people with Parkinson’s get the care they need. We’re starting with access to the right doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
We want NHS England to have a plan that allows people with Parkinson’s to access consultants, nurses, physiotherapists, mental health professionals, speech therapists and occupational therapists. And we’re calling on new local integrated care boards (ICBs) to do that.
Join our campaign to improve Parkinson’s care
Here is a link to our campaigns pages where you can find template letters to send to the Secretary of State and to local Integrated Care Boards (the latest local health boards) to ask for their support in helping improve services nationally and at a local level. If you can share this with any contacts you have and help spread the word that would be fantastic. If any of you are interested in finding out more about the campaign and how to get involved locally please do get in touch. When we all developed our local plans for Surrey and Sussex together, improving access to health services and ensuring people got medication on time were 2 of our top priorities that local people were most concerned about so it would be great to have a real push at getting the message heard across Surrey and Sussex.
