Membership – Unfortunately we have had to increase the subscription to £15.00
for single membership and £20.00 for joint membership to enable the level of support currently offered to our member’s to be maintained.
There are options for payment of your subscription including payment by debit or credit card if you pay at one of our January 2024 monthly meetings.

Nuffield Gym Classes – The additional gym equipment which is being purchased as a result of receiving the grant from PUK has now been ordered and is due to arrive in January. Once the equipment has been integrated into the Exercise Programme we will be able to determine how many additional places we are able to offer either for the Exercise Class or a Pilates Class.
More information once the equipment is received.

Singing Group – We are still intending to continue with this group but we are waiting for dates from Karen.

Bletchingly Golf Classes – Since re-introducing the Golf Classes in October we have held 5 sessions which have all been well attended. We are
just waiting for confirmation of dates for January and February from Leah our coach so we can then publish our programme.
If you are interested in having a go then do contact Ian. It is important to point out that you do not need any previous golf experience as all levels of ability are catered for. The classes have been seen to help with both co-ordination and balance as well as offering exercise. The sessions are open to anyone suffering from Parkinson’s, and their carer’s
and all equipment is provided. The cost is £10 / session payable on the day by cash or card.

JANUARY EVENTS

11.00 WEDNESDAY 3rd January – HAVEN CENTRE – Monthly Meeting
This is your opportunity to Meet Your Committee ** with each committee member giving a short talk about their background and explaining why and how they became involved with the Parkinson’s Branch.
You can also submit your membership renewal.

John Goodsell – We are sad to report that John passed away in East Surrey hospital on 6th December. He was a valued member of the committee and was responsible for the branch website. His knowledgeable input on all IT matters will be missed. We send our sincere condolences to his wife Sheila and all of John’s family.

11.00 WEDNESDAY 10th / 24th January – HAVEN CENTRE – Gardening Group Meet
Our first sessions of the New Year maintaining the garden.

11.00 THURSDAY 11th January – CRAWLEY RFC – Monthly Meeting
This will be a repeat of the Haven Centre Meet Your Committee presentation and another chance to renew your Branch membership.

10.30 FRIDAY 19th January – NYMANS NT GARDEN – Coffee Morning
After a successful first visit to the Nymans Café last October for our Coffee Morning this is a repeat visit giving free access to the gardens. On arrival please advise the staff manning the entrance that you are with the Parkinson’s group and then make your way to the Café.

19.00 FRIDAY 26th January – HAVEN CENTRE – Quiz Night + Fish & Chip Supper
