Invite Parkinson’s UK-funded researchers to your local group meeting
Around 3 in 4 people with Parkinson’s will be affected by symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions at some point. Hallucinations can mean that the person sees, hears or feels things that aren’t there, or mistakes objects for other things. This can be very distressing for the person and their loved ones.
Parkinson’s UK are funding research teams across the UK to investigate whether CBD is an effective treatment for hallucinations and delusions. This study is called the CAN-PDP study.
There are trial sites in England (London, Bath, Sheffield, Sunderland, Chertsey, Bodmin and Derby), Wales (Newport, Llanelli, Pembrokeshire and Wrexham) and Scotland (Dundee). You can find out more about the study on our Take Part Hub.
Please contact the research team at canpdp.trialoffice@kcl.ac.uk or 07936545178 to organise a visit to your local group.
