Carol has had Parkinson’s for 27 years and attended her first branch meeting in the coffee shop at the K2 Centre, Crawley, with four other members and the then-Chairman, Gordon Collings. Now, we have around 130 Members of whom around 30 attend branch meetings regularly at the Haven Centre, Crawley Down.

Carol served for 12 years as a committee member and Branch Secretary, coming into contact with several inspiring members, who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and many selfless volunteers who spend a major part of their lives doing their utmost to lessen the load on those who have been diagnosed with the condition.

On her retirement from the post of Branch Secretary, the Committee made a presentation of a hamper and a bouquet of flowers, to mark the occasion. Carol has agreed to remain on the Committee so we will all continue to benefit from her experience and ideas.
