Crawley Borough Council has commissioned LVSA, an independent consultancy to carry out a survey in relation to the availability and accessibility of taxis in the area. We are now carrying out a review of the current supply and demand for wheelchair accessible vehicles and other adaptations or assistance that users may need across the hackney carriage and private hire vehicle fleets in the Crawley Borough Council area.

At the moment, the Council has a limit on the number of hackney carriages (taxis) it will licence and we need your help to see what, if any changes are needed.  Your feedback will be used to help inform a wider survey in determining if there are sufficient hackney carriages (taxis) and more widely, the nature and type of vehicles licensed.

You can complete the survey:

  • In writing to either traderesponse@ctstraffic.co.uk  or Crawley Council WAV User Review 2021, CTS Traffic and Transportation, Unit 14 Aqueduct Mill, Aqueduct Street PRESTON PR1 7JN
  • By telephone – please leave a message with the office on 01772 251400 giving your contact details.

Please contact Kareen Plympton, Team Leader Principal  – Health, Safety and Licensing Services at kareen.plympton@crawley.gov.uk  if you would like further information.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey.
